The new Rifle Volunteer was opened in 1965 built by J. W. Sndrews builders of Swanwick for James Shipstones & Sons Ltd. Star Brewery, Nottingham. Architect W. J. Stovin-Bradford. A split level building due to the ground levels. Rear-Basment: Beer & Bottle store, garage, & Bowling Alley. Ground Floor: Bar / Public Areas. First Floor: Private living quarters. First Landlord & Landlady: Mr. & Mrs. Les Wakefield. The building was demolished in June 2014.
